We have a driveway!

Mike pulled up to the house on Thursday (8-13-09) after meeting with the builder on Monday and he said "WE HAVE A DRIVEWAY"! I thought a driveway came with the house, glad to know it is for sure now! He unexpectedly had to stay in SC for this week too - so maybe he will be able to take more pictures. It is coming along so quickly! Here are the latest pictures. Louie is getting bettter, traffic through our home in St. Peters is increasing and things are coming together for the move. Please continue to pray that our home in St. Peters sells before we move!

New House Coming Along!

Mike is in SC all this week, so he will be able to take more pics. He had a pre-drywall meeting with the builder on Monday and when he called me after the meeting I thought he would be really excited about the house. Instead he was a little confused....Mike said that it was hard to picture everything in it because it looked like small with the frames all over the place. Here are some pics of our new house. It is amazing to see it all transform. Pray that our current house sells so we can actually move into this one!

Louie needs your help!

Our wonderful pup Louie is currently very sick. He developed an anemia that is very serious. After 8 weeks of being on steroids and antibiotics he underwent a bone marrow test (very painful). The good news from the test was it is NOT lymphoma and his body is trying to produce good blood cells. Unfortunately the infection is so high right now his good cells are being consumed by the bad. We are going to try getting some high dose antibiotics in him and taking him off the steroids. If this does not work we will be going back to MIZZOU for a blood transfusion. I am in the process of raising funds for Louie. If you can help him in any way we sure would appreciate it. Of course donations are accepted in any denomination. The bone marrow test was $400 and if we need the blood transfusion that is another $400 (that is the rate at Mizzou - in STL it was going to be $1,o00 for the BM Test). That is on top of the bills from all the tests, meds, and twice a week trips to the vet. Of course we are trying everything we can for him - but the vet bills keep going up and I am still unemployed. If you are able to help Louie out in any way, he will surely never forget you.

The bare spot in this pic is where is IV was.

This bare spot is where they got the bone marrow from.
